And thats why kiddies you do not draft!

I remember whilst doing Tatton Triathlon, out on Knutsford Road that was still open to road traffic but marshalled bikes giving 2 metre's giveway. A competitor overtook another competitor but did not look behind him for traffic and was nearly hit by a car he pulled out in front of. Very very lucky.

Correction - it's why you do not draft if you have zero bike handling skills!

ever seen a little race called the Tour de France, quite a lot of drafting there. It's kind of part of a sport called cycling you know

    The moral of the story . . . .

Never ever use tri-bars when riding in a group

    ever . . . ever . . . .

    and definitely not near me

But it's ok if you're in the olympic time trial team
  • I like the bit where he panics at the end, grabs a handful of front brake and faceplants. Silly triathlete.

He lands it quite well - takes it on the hands and then rolls - being fair to him with a buckled wheel he might just have touched the brake and found it locking the wheel.

Perfect example of when riding in a group and someone calls out, 'No halfwheeling!' , this is what happens.
Can't understand why he runs off road, he seemed to have got it under control after the original touch, perhaps he was blinded by the low sun?

I'm thinkin he'd lost some spokes, so the front wheel wasn't goin where he was pointin it

I agree, looks a lot like there were some spokes missing there, it was twanging all over the place.

Nobody ever done a TTT then, they were riding in a line, not a group as such. Should be able to control the bike on the extensions though, that is a pretty simple thing to do.

Guy just got his knickers in a twist when he got too close to the guy in front, a little dab on the brake and he would have been fine.

Unless I've missed something there wasn't any half wheeling going on was there ? Overlapping wheels and half wheeling are different things - at least they are round here.
