How do I find out which version of 105 I have fitted to my Focus Variado? What are the key differences?

Thank you

look at the parts. they all have s/n stamped on them discreetly
  • Cool - thx.

5700 is relatively recent isn't it? I'm 95% sure just from the date that my 2010 Variado is 5600

Some easy differences here - do you have cables under the bar tape or not ?

That's what I was going to say. The most obvious difference is that on the older 5600 shifters the gear cables come out of the sides and get in the way of your lights, bar bag etc. With 5700 both brake and gear cables are concealed by the bar tape, a la Ultegra etc
  • Definitely 5600 then - thank you.
