hi. i bought a new camera last week for my bike and i can't seem to get it to record. could anyone give me a few pointers to see if i'm doing it right pls.
battery is all charged up.
i press the power button and the green light at the front comes on as well as the lasers for a few seconds.
next i slide the record button forward and nothing happens or changes. the green power button is still green.
i don't know,,,thanks

Have you put a memory card in it?0
-
yes. memory card - 2Gb. everything seems to check out except the record function.0

Have you plugged the camera back into a computer to see if it is recording anything?
Can't remember if the light changes on mine.0 -
When recording the camera should beep and the light at the front comes on.....if the lasers come on that doesn't sound right to me as they should only come on when required (I think press and hold) not when you power up, powering on is a single one press then wait for the beeps.0

okay thanks guys. i set it up again and pushed the record button forward .,,,and nothing. so iu pushed down on the slider and it started recording. the light changed to red or orange and all was okay. maybe just the design being so compact , sort of thing. any way , at last i have decdent movies.
only 125 quid new on ebay GB now. excellent.0 -

Decent vid, does the camera come with the editing software as well?0 -
it has its own vholdr software which looks pretty decent too. no where near as comprehensive as magix, but simple and too the point with editing and stuff. register your camera online; link for up-loading youtube movies, etcetra. i haven't used it yet but using another program could lessen the quality when it's converting to whatever file type it requires.0

I've imported the some footage from mine to Windows Movie Maker and edited then saved it in HD, doesn't look too bad.'Hello to Jason Isaacs'0 -
Anyone know if these bad boys work OK on an iMac ? I've been watching the price come down and down for months now, started at £199 but I held off as too much. £122 is doable though.A person who aims at nothing is sure to hit it

Don't see why it wouldn't work.
As for editing software, I use Windows Live Movie Maker, you can create your own profiles for exporting, so it stays at 60fps.
Only had a brief look at the Vholdr stuff, it just seems to allow you to 'clip' a section of video and choose to upload that rather than do proper editing, but it's quicker than loading the video in WLMM and then chopping it down and exporting.0 -
