Is it better to have integrated in glove or to go round thumb like this?

I would have thought the thumb would be better. As its less likely to move. BUT will be bulkier.
I dont have any experience though0 -
I use a 661 wrist wrap after fracturing my scaphoid, I've had a few offs since then where i've put my hand in and had no further problems with it, i like to think the wrist brace helped... It's relatively comfy, and fits under gloves fairly well, however the bit that goes around your thumb can get a bit uncomfortable after a while.
That glove/wrist support looks good, might try those out at some point0 -
Do you have the pro version?Norco Aurum 2 2012

no mate, the regular one, the pro one doesn't have the bit that wraps around your thumb. I suspect the pro would be better (i might buy one) because the real danger is bending your wrist back too far when you put your hand out when you crash (that's how i broke mine), rather than protecting your thumb, even though that's where the scaphoid is, ish.0

after damaging / breaking both wrists in the past couple of years, i can vouch for the 661 wrist wraps - the normal ones with the plastic inserts and thumb loop (found the pro's uncomfortable, bulky and provided less support). always took the top insert out though (the one on the back of your hand) as found them too restrictive and the lower brace an wrap worked fine. the plastic wears through the palm of the wrap quickly though.
good for when your recovering. alternatively try some of that rubber grippy bandage stuff. wrapped round a couple of times fairly tight, it provides a hell of a lot of support and less bulky0
