We are very much a cycling house already owning a isla rhoan and a cnoc 14. Therefore I was very eager to test the toddlebike.

My son at 15 months is desperate to copy his big sister (just 3) its a tall order as she can ride her pedal bike. He will attempt to climb on the rhoan but its way too heavy yet. When the toddle bike arrived his eyes lit up. He walked it round, carried it and within two days was riding it. All the same pattern as his sister, but way earlier due to the bike being so light. He's lightening fast on it now and insists on riding it to the park just like his sister. ( takes a while)
I will say the bike is very plastic and if you are accustom to the quality of isla bikes or the lovely wheels of a mini micro you will be dissapointed. I do think the handle bars are too narrow and i'm not sure it will ever promote balance as it has 4 wheels. I also think the seat is a bit too far back as it is too close to the back wheels and they seem too wide. It just a bit awkward in its design. I would have loved it to have two wheels.

My son on the other hand thinks its great, its used more than the cosy coupe car and that IS a big deal. It is ridden for at least an hour a day so overall represents excellent play value for the cost. If you have a younger wannabe sibling its a very good buy.

The Bike Radar Toddlebike Trial is a project currently running involving 45 Bike Radar Forum members who, with the help of their 18-24 month old Toddler, have been asked to test a Toddlebike for a month over a range of terrains indoor and out and then share their unedited findings on the original Forum.
