Voodoo or Boardman

HI All, our company has a tie up with Halfords (whoopeee!) So i'm after a new mountain bike on the cycle to work scheme.
I want a full suss, as although I am a hardtail fanatic (I have a Trek 8500 5 years old and completed everything in the British Isles) my back is getting problematic so need something to take the bumps out of my general cycling, also the Treks getting a little worn so want to keep it fresh for my races.
From the website it looks like I have the choice of a Voodoo Canzo or the Boardman Full suss, both coming in at £1000, which looking at the equipment is pretty decent. Both bikes have been praised on the reviews here, anyone got a reason one's going to be better that the other? The bike will primarily be used for XC along the ridgeway and such, but I do intend taking it to Afan, Brechfa, and The beacons and have a trip up Snowdon and Ben Nevis planned for next year, so need it capable of managing all that.
cheers

Canzo for harder riding, Boardman for more XC - the latter is shorter travel and lighter.0

Thanks for the reply, as I expect to do some harder riding I guess I have to opt for the Canzo.0
