Hi, i was flicking through the owners manual of my anthem x4 when i noticed this in the warranty section,
'The guarantee lapses if the bike has been assembled with none original parts'
Does this mean that adding any other components to the bike invalidates the warranty? I'm hoping to have a large upgrade sometime next year and will be replacing the brakes, drivetrain and wheels.
If i did that would i loose my frame warranty or does it mean that if the bike is different when you bought it you loose the warranty?

A warranty is in addition to your rights - it is whatever Giant says it is. If the frame breaks, contact the retailer, but if it breaks and you have no claim under your rights, then Giant may refuse to replace the frame if you have done something that invalidates it. Very often you are ok swapping parts though. Afterall, parts wear, and they themselves recommend replacing worn parts!
