Hi guys,
Thought I would start up a new tread regarding my new XC racer (happens to be my dream bike since starting to ride). The Cube AMS HPC Race in Teamline Colours. This will be my first fully bike ever, period.
I haven’t received all the parts yet, but should have them by early december.
I thought it would be nice to share some detail of it with you guys.
The Cube AMS HPC Race weighs around the 10kg mark. I want my AMS to be less than 9.5kg but this build’s first priority is strength and stiffness and style (no I am not french, despite the colours ).
I guess I will have to wait and see until I receive the all the parts, but I should be around the 9.3kg mark.

very nice looking frame. and a very expensive looking parts bill too.
should be light and quick for racing though.
do they only provide these as frame only, or are there stock builds?2011 KHS Full Susser Carbon 29er Race BuildClank wrote:M'eh, I might just go back to zapping it with frikken lay-zur beeeems. And sharks.0 -
Should be quite a nice build, I will upload some more pictures in a minute.
I made an absolute bargain on most of the parts and so far I am at about
£2700 for everything (including getting the wheels build)
They usually sell whole bikes, but there are some shops (plus eBay and Forums) where you can buy the frames.0 -

Cube is one of the few brands that give you good quality for the money you pay.
The club I used to ride for back home was sponsored by Cube, so I have naturally
been riding Cube since I started XC some years back.0 -
Ooh its setting my teeth on edge seeing such an expensive frame sat on the concrete. I hope it wasn't scratched.
*attempts to stop wincing*
Good luck with the build!0 -
That is one good looking frame! And some very nicely specced components, good luck with the build
I'm sure he'll serve you well!0 -
Super looking build spec, will be great to see it finished. Always had a soft spot for Cube frames, they always have superb finishing..
Do you have an "expected" weight for the Ergon SM3 saddle ?0 -
The Ergon SM3 will come in 5 different models.
I will go for the SM3 Pro Carbon which comes in small (179g) and large (184g)

Thanks. Really not a bad weight, still a bit off the Selle Italia SLR Kit Carbonio, but these Ergon do look like they will be be whole lot kinder to the botty
Its also interesting to note that Selle Italia is listed as a Ergon partner on that pdf link. I wonder if the production is being outsourced to Selle Italia?0 -
I'm not sure. But it is an interesting point, might be worth looking up.0

Selle Italia is indeed a partner on this product. Development by Ergon, production by Selle Italia. Strategic partnerships, innit.

any progress?0
