Nice, I think Ti is hard to beat for a winter steed.Find your limits...and then exceed them frequently0

Nice but its not a winter bike no full guards..
that is very true-- and I thought I was being slightly extravagant having a Van Nic Ti Yukon as a winter bike---with full set of guards which rarely come off all year btw---but obviously I`m in good company despite lack of full guards on the other Van Nic0 -
Not meaning to ambush anothers `my bike` thread but here`s the Van Nic in 2011 with full mudguards

VAN NIC YUKON by jamesld8, on Flickr
spec is:
Van Nic 56 cm Yukon
Campag Centaur groupset / Veloce rear mech / Record ergopower 10 shifters
Centaur hubs with Open Pro rims
USE SUMO Ti seatpost
Exotic flat top matrix bars , matrix stem
Shimano SPD pedals
Full mudguards, Exposure Flash front, Blackburn Mars rear, Lezyme pump, Ortlieb Lge rear seatpack (carries waterproof, 2 x tubes + multitools bits and pieces )
weighs in as basic bike c 20 lb, but strips down with Tune / DT swiss 415 wheels no guards to 18 lb ish
and (for me) interestingly is how my riding position has changed since 2007 this pic: 2011 higher saddle, moved fwd, bars height dropped:
