York??
Hi All
Anyone in the area!
Have just joined the site after an extended period of lurking, is there anyone in the York area up for some rides out who knows the area better than me! Lived in Scarborough for many years and tend to go to Dalby or Hamsterley but would be great to do something closer to home as live near the centre of town!! Already aware of riverside runs and knavesmire etc but looking for something a little more adventurous in admittedly a pretty flat area!!
All ideas / options appreciated!!!

It's not great but you can make a good run around the university. Plenty of steps, ledges to drop off and stuff to get air off, there is even some great singletrack in the woods around the uni, albeit very short lived.
Literally just get out and ride around. Unfortunately if you're not wanting to travel far there is not much so it's gotta be a bit of urban biking. If you're able to travel, there is a massive hill out pocklington way that has some good riding, so long as you're ok with riding on footpaths.
Just go explore, I reckon there is some great fun to be had in the city, just not while it's too busy...0
