hey bikeradar,
title pretty much sums it up....
the mrs is after a new bike - upgrading to her first proper full sus, and has seen a Salvo Elite (click here for more details) for about £500 that she quite likes the look off. The guy selling it says the rear rim has a slight dent but nothing major and we can always put her current rear wheel on there.
Just wondered if the bike was any good? seems a good spec to me but thought I'd find a second opinion
Thanks for your help

It's a good bike: reasonable, well thought out kit, but do you really need full sus? Can she try it? Remember you have no back up or warranty second hand.0

Probably not, just wanted one for a while. And no, the bikes of ebay so we can't try it first0

I have the salvo comp, and for a fs @ £800 squids its a tidy bike. Only had it nearly 3 mnth but apart from an issue with the brakes and the standard tyres (kenda kadre) not having much grip, i cant pick fault with it at all,0

oh right, so it's a decent bike for the money, but best of looking at it first before buying second hand?0

do distance selling regulations apply with eBay?0

Only with registered traders, and you need to look closely at the terms and conditions of the sale.0
