Voodoo Hard Tail Range

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum but I was hoping that some of you might be able to help me out with some advice.
I used to ride a lot when I was younger, growing up on an island in the west coast of Scotland but now I'm in my mid-twenties living in London and looking to get back into riding.
I've been doing a bit of research and the Voodoo range looks like offering a decent spec for the price (specifically the Bokor and Wanga). I've noticed I've just missed a sale so my question is two fold:
a) Does anyone have any experience of these bikes, what do you think of them?!
b) Are there likely to be anymore sales, if not, any ideas when will the 2012 bikes be hitting the shelves?
Thanks in advance for any input.
Joe

The Voodoo are an excellent range, representing very good value. Tend to do well in tests too.
Halfords have frequent sales, often 20% off - just have to wait!
The 2012 release may not be until well into next year. And probably won't be any better.0 -
Mate has a Bokor from 2010. There are plenty of bikes that score 9/10 based on the spec sheet and angles but when it comes to the ride they are brain-bendingly dull, and the Bokor is one of them.
In isolation it is a reasonable bike - the spec for this year is considerably worse BTW - but despite air Recons, decent wheels/brakes/gears and RF finishing kit it's a gate on wheels and the finger of suspicion has to point to the dated frame which basically feels like a lifeless collection of tubes with a few spangly bits attached to it.
Would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Maybe try and hire a bike for a day to get an idea of what rides well and what doesn't.0 -
What makes an 'undull' frame? Some say ones with a bit of give in. Some say as stiff as can be ;-)
Tyres have more effect on ride than the frame. Anyway, see our review:

Thanks guys, really appreciate your help!
I'd seen the review already supersonic - part of the reason why I'm so keen! Do you think I'll notice a big difference between the Bokor and Wanga? I dont really want to drop a grand but if I can get a 20% discount I'd be tempted!
What else would you recommend Blitz?
Thanks again...0 -
Not sure on the bikes but i work for Halfords and id recommend waiting until after Christmas if possible if there is gonna be a sale on them it will be then. No guarantees though.0
