I'd like to know how to date the year of manufacture of this bike. Its still in vgc and rides beautifully. I've just fitted the 'no mud' mudguards and a new chain and cassette to see it through the winter.

I had thought yr 2k myself but I think its because I saw another advertised as a FastTrax 2000.

I wouldn't mind another to set up for the winter.

Looking a bit different now I've changed some of the components.
100mm Manitou forks, Avid hydro front brake, black seatpost, (white saddle to follow),different bars, stem and shifters, black rims.
Would like to get the frame and forks powder coated whits to go along the black n white theme.

I had a Tuff Trax back in the mid 90's and this is the 1st Saracen i've seen in the last 12 years which kinda brings back memories  .

Done a few things to update the Saracen, the only original things of the bike are the frame and crankset.

I've done it all on a tiny budget (£100 including buying the bike) and the color scheme is ghetto styleee

That's really good going on a small budget of £100 8) , so did you get most of the parts from eBay and how much did you pay for the bike alone if you mind me asking as the frame looks really good lol ;) .

The bike cost £50 quid from the local secondhand shop.

I managed to keep the costs down by 'recycling', selling the old parts to buy the replacements with more or less everything sourced off various forums, although the Manitou forks were a £10 ebay bargain.

Frame is gaffer taped, looks good close up too.

£50 for the bike  , i'd have expected you to have paid between £70-£80 and the recycling idea sounds like a good way of getting what you want and tbh i couldn't tell you'd gaffer taped it and a tenner for the forks is good going their Nathan 8) .
