If you change the suspension travel.....

If you were to adjust the suspension travel from 130mm to 120mm (in the case of an Orange Evo4), would you effectively steepen the head and seat angles up? I'm asking as I'm looking to buy one at the mo, but its no longer got the old 130mm forks but a set of Reba 120mm SLs fitted It was 70 & 73 degrees to begin with and I'm looking at trail so I dont want it any steeper.

It depends. If it is the same fork, with the same percentage sag, then when sagged it will be slightly steeper (less than half a degree).
But a different fork may have a different crown to axle measurement.0 -

No I think it was a 130mm Marzocchi fork as standard. Im looking at around £350 which with a SL reba (£200 in itself) its not a bad deal. I just dont want to find its a bit too steep for any trail work0

Too slack is not ideal for many trails - slows the handling down in the twisty bits.
The original geo was with a 100mm fork, pretty sure of it.0 -
http://www.orangebikes.co.uk/files/pdf/ ... screen.pdf page 22 on there says its actually a Manitou 130mm.
Just seen a Genesis Core 40 for £100 more. Tough choices.0
