I go rock climbing; indoor and out. And I've got a Berghaus Screamer haul bag that I use for carrying my kit in, including my rock shoes - which regularly stink!
And hence, so does the bag and so does anything that lives in the bag for more than ten minutes.

Question is: How do you wash a waterproof bag?

I've recently discovered how to de-stink the shoes and I reckon the bag is re-infecting them.
(Rub the alchol based, anti-bacterial, Hand Cleaner that you take hill-walking/climbing into your rock shoes/onto your feet! It works. Also, shoes fit into washing machine, don't tell Mrs Meanie)

  • My experience of climbing in Scotland is that stuff never dries out! ever or it freezes.

Wash it in the shower and dry outside.

If you wash rock boots don't they shrink?
Racing is rubbish you can\'t relax and enjoy it- because some bugger is always trying to get past.
