I intend to fit a replacement mirror on my Trek 7300 hybrid, but the one I've bought one I've bought has fittings too large to go into the bar tube end. Any suggestions for the best way to "bodge it"? Thanks.

  • The little 'nubbin' that the bolt scews into (that moves up the bolt when tightened to flare out the fixing) can be reduced with a coarse wood file (or rasp) until it bodges in (persuade with an 'American Screwdriver'). Been there, done that: albeit on customers' bikes :-)
