Hello fellow crudders....think the jury is out on the new look (looks like some teen chat forum) anyhoo whilst I have not been able to get on here to chuckle at sheepsteeths antics I have been up at deggy on the new black and red and havce to say they have done a fantasic job....it is now a proper trail centre...it will never be as good as inners but it is fantastic and a tribute to the Welsh trail pixies....

You join the new sections just before the Twins on the red...make sure your carb's are up as if you have ridden the black to this point there is some fast decents but some big climbs especially at the end as you climb out....here are some tasters.....

Been tempted to sneak on the new bits the last few times I've been! I'm over there tomorrow to check them out, can't wait :)

Its fab...really quick but some bits will catch you out (see 3rd vid) like I said eat your carbs I was told it was not that long but if you start at before the Twins after already doing the 3 black sections it's about the same distance...allow 2.5 hours...

Yeah it looks quick 8) I'll be taking it nice and steady first time down the new bits! I'm usually not that knackered after doing a lap including the blacks, although the climbs at the end will probably mean I'll sleep tomorrow night

New since when? I was last there in May with CWNT so has there been development since? Might be worth a look next week when I'm home.
I'm going to blow the bank on a new build ( within reason ) NOW DONE!!

I was impressed with the old new sections  when we were there.

Although those new slabs were like fookin glass.

When the leg is better I'd not mind going back to try these new ones.

    i went there on saturday.

riding uphill with a 36t ring on the front and a 11-25 roadie cassette on the back was a pain in the obvious to say the least but the descent are well worth it. the new black run is quite similar to parallel universe and the red is a lot of fun.

i loved just bombing through that big rock section on PU

Unfortunately i dropped my lid whilst having a rest after the second video and cracked the camera lens so couldn't film anymore

Great fun yesterday although having to wait at the start of each run was a pain in the arse, i've never seen the place a busy
What if your dreams and fears existed in the same place? What if to get to heaven, you had to brave hell? What if everything you've ever wanted cost you everything you've ever achieved? Would you still go there?

When the leg is better , when the leg is better. It'll be canal tow paths for a while for you sonny I mean falling of a grassy tussock  . Mind you a crawl worthy of Joe Simpson should get you book rights to enable you to buy stabilisers.

am i the only one that isnt that impressed ?

maybe the vids dont do them justice, and bear in mind ive only been the once, but i dont think they look any better than whats already there (and thats not that good either IMO)

maybe i need to go again
  • I thought the vids were excellent.

Usually these on-board type vids bore the shit out of me. They all look so flat and slow. I think this one actually looked really quick, far quicker than I'd have been anyway :p

Made it look quite exciting, I'm especially a fan of the long boardwalk sections.

Well I rode the new sections today and they were flippin awesome! I really liked Llandegla anyway but these new trails really make the end of the ride so much better than the old route back to the cafe! The climbs are worth it for the descents too. Said I was going to take it easy but I still managed to get a little out of shape on some bits  I'm currently editing some video I took, I'll post it up later. It was a bit wet out there today too...
