  • Is that photo taken at night

Sort of looks like the bike could be glowing and lighting up the surrounding area haha!

Taken during the day, with the only light through the trees shining on the bike and silver birch behind.

It does actually glow in the dark, tried it out last night, just waiting for reports of a ghost seen hurtling along the old railway track

does the glow in the dark paint need UV, i.e. on a night ride it won't glow after a while?

I think so yeah. Also the paint fades and stops working after a while :(

Yep it needs light before it'll glow. Paint may fade, or it may last forever. The extension lead I painted with Humbrol GITD paint about 25 years ago still glows. :o

As it stands today, with gears and mud. There must be something about the paint that stops it being photographed properly, either that or I was so knackered after 2 hours winding my way through mud, water and bits of tree that I couldn't hold the camera still.
