Seems so, doesn't it? But I've been using Microsoft products for long enough to be resigned to the new stuff not working as well as the old stuff did.

If you go to the forum index, just above the list of forums there's a 'View new posts' link which should do it.

I know, but not quite what I'm looking for - that returns all posts on all forums, there doesn't seem to be a way to get all road posts though.
