Is this bike good for a beginner?

hello guys im new to MTBing and i am looking for a bike to do trails. I had increased my budget to £400. But now im thinking of buying a cheaper bike as i could do with the extra cash.

The bike which i am interested in is a Gt aggressor 3. Its on for £210

I really wanted a bike with disk breaks. This one has V breaks. Can someone check on the link and let me know if they are any good? i think they are pro max.

Also if you could tell me if the bike is any good for trails in general.

I would go back to your original budget. That has pretty rubbish spec overall.
Lousy forks, very basic 7 speed drivetrain. V brakes are ok, but discs are so much better.
