Shimano Rotors and Resin pads

Not sure if this should be in tech or Buying advice as its a bit of both but probably an easy answer for those in the know.
On my giant talon I had replaced the brake pads with metallic ones then realised quite a bit later on theat the rotors state resin pads only. The rotors are now quite scratched up possibly from when the pads were worn right down or maybe just from the metallic pads.
Anyway looks like onone are selling the rotors for dirt cheap http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/BSSHRT52CR/ ... disc_rotor just waiting on a friend to confirm the rotor type for me before I get them as the bike is back at home.
So is there a better rotor to replace this one or a better pad to use. I seemed to chew through the shimano resin pads very quickly especially when its wet. Want to get some SS Organic pads but do not want to wreck a new set of rotors
Thanks in advance

Just ignore the warning. All rotors are pretty much the same and work fine with sintered pads.
Scratches will be from riding down to the metal, not from the pads.
SS sintered will last much much longer than resin.
At £4.99 a rotor you can't really go wrong.I don't do smileys.

thanks cool dad I guessed this was probably the case. Will be getting the rotors once confirmed they match and some sintered pads for the talon and the mmmbop0

My experience was that you should not ignore the warning. Kevlar and sintered pads are too abrasive for the resin only discs and once you've run a set, you will eat pads really quickly until you change the discs.0

Been through 2 sets of resin and at least 5 sets of sintered and my rotors are still perfect. Shimano put that on all their rotors. Anyway at 4.99 a rotor they are cheaper than pads. Don't think they are made out of different steel to any other rotors.I don't do smileys.
