I know he crashed out pretty heavily in the first week - but cant recall seeing him race after that ? Were his injuries worse than Wiggins ?

He had major concussion - at the end of the stage he couldn't remember the crash or the final 20km he had just ridden, and was having a strange conversation about that point as he crossed the line. After he was taken to hospital he had no recollection of most of the race.

I remember he had concussion but he did manage to finish under his own power. No broken collar bones or anything. Would concussion stop his racing season ?
