Problems changing gear cable with SLX Front Derailleur

Hi,

I've got a 2010 214 Zesty with an SLX Front Derrailleur and am struggling with changing the gear cable. Unlike on the Rear the final bolt is flat without an hole for an allen key and it looks like I'd need a mini spanner to loosen it.

Am I missing something obvious here as it seems like a slightly ridiculous design?

    You need an 8mm spanner. Possibly a little more fiddly than an allen key, use a box-end spanner or a socket.
