winter tarmac tyres?

hey guys, im needing some tyres to get me thro the wet windy and snowy stuff we get up here in fife.

was looking at panaracer fires. but now im not too sure.

so, whats the best bet for a tyre that will mainly be riding on tarmac and cycle paths in the snow and ice?

Schwalbe Marathon Winter. I've got them for my commuter, will be switching to them once there's ie and heavy frost on the ground in the mornings.

im a little worried about the snow performance of the marathons

Avoid those, they are for ice, not snow. Terrible on tar.
