If its puncture protection you're after Gatorskins are pretty good but wet weather grip for me has been average at best. My current pair have lasted a year ridden through last winter with only a few punctures.
Not ridden Krylions.
Spesh Armadillos also worth a look0 -
I have a 25mm on the rear of my ss and it went onto an open pro rim very easily - not had any grip issues and I had a 23 on the back last winter"I get paid to make other people suffer on my wheel, how good is that"

I've done about 1500miles on the krylions, in all weathers and on some really crappy roads. I've had one slow puncture in that time. I'm very impressed with mine.Pinno, מלך אידיוט וחרא מכונאי0

I love folding Gators - absolutely no issues with fitting them or, frankly, the grip. I'm a reasonable weight at 90kg so that will help with grip.ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0

Really like my 25mm Krylions so far.
Make a bit of a funny squealing noise at times when really pushed, but ive found them grippy & robust. Front still looks like new after a couple of months (ridden most days) & neither have a mark on them.
I ride some cr@ppy roads & cycle paths too.0 -
Never had any issues with any of the Michelin's ive used - kinda leaning towards the Kyrlions at the moment Thanks for the replies.0

Used to ride winters with Gatorskins for years but now it's 23s and 25s Krylions, better grip and wear all round for me.0

+10 -
I've run both and prefer the Krylions
the only Conti tyre I like (a lot) is the GP4Season.Facts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0 -
Used Krylions and found them quite good - however they seemed go from good to worn (through to the threads in places) very quickly, normally i'd notice a tyre starting to get worn a bit over time and switch before it got down to the threads but this was over the course of one ride, hadn't locked the wheels up either. Had about 3000 miles on the rear so fairly decent life.
Trying GP4 season at the moment0 -
I don't think you'll be able to find 25mm Krylions any more - they're going to be the pro race 4 endurance when the new range comes out.
Oh, and I hated the ride on gatorskins, lack of grip, and a bastard to get on/off open pros.0 -
I've ridden both (but as 23s, not 25s), and I much prefer the Krylions. In my experience, I've found them more comfortable, and much better grip in the wet than the Contis, especially over road iron (such as drains). Although the rubber seems quite soft, and is quite cut up and squaring off after 1500+ miles, they've not yet let me down. Great tyre, and light too.0

Krylions grip beter, but contis are tougher. I like both, but if I had to choose I'd go for the contis.0

Interestingly, CyclingPlus has a winter tyre article this month and the krylions come out on top, with Conti's a close second. I've used both and they both seem to have their merits. Conti's perhaps slightly tougher but Krylions have better grip in the wet.0

My last Krylion was ok for a week, before I had to bin it with a big hole. Swapped to GP4 seasons and love them.
Although I think I had a bad batch and would buy again.0 -
I use gatorskins on my winter bike and not had any problems. Don't really push the corners in the winter but I can't say I've noticed a lack of grip. As for fitting I can put them on with my hands in seconds so no problems there( although I'm sensible and use 28mm)Norfolk, who nicked all the hills?
