New Tyres for a Mongoose Tyax?

I've just bought a 2nd hand Mongoose Tyax Elite to replace the Hardrock Sport Disc I had stole :cry: n. It feels like a nice bike but the tyres are slick and far narrower than on my old Spesh. I miss the big knobbly tyres and as I'm going to do a lot of trails, mostly little tracks on the South Downs, I was wondering what tyres anybody with a Tyax could recommend..... 8)

    Maxxis High Rollers are great except in mud. I've just ordered some Panaracer Trailrakers for the winter and mud.

    Any size that will clear the frame.

    if you were happy with the tyres on the spesh,why not use the same,tho if it was fitted with the fast track lk's,for trail use you might be better trying the captains
