Anyone bought these yet? http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=72360

I'm not a big fan of full-on winter boots but these seem a half-way option with decent waterproofing but lower weight and more flexible uppers. I'm expecting they'll need an overshoe as well when it gets properly cold (as most winter boots do anyway) but still seems better than screwing up your summer shoes. Previous winters I've either taped the sole vents of my Spesh s-works and worn neoprene overshoes when it gets cold (just about OK but it doesn't do the shoes much good getting soaked through with sweat all the time and if there's just surface water rather than rain they don't keep your feet dry for long whereas a more waterproofed option would). I also have some cheaper Spesh Sport shoes I used to use which are a bit warmer and cheap enough I don't mind ruining them over a couple of winters but they have a flexy sole so I get hotspots and feet still get wet easily).

So I'm trying to justify these to myself :p but they're pricey (although 'only' around £150 from other places) and am not sure on Mavic fit. I did try some of the yellow road shoes on a while back and they seemed narrow (compared with Spesh) and the local dealer doesn't have the Frosts in to check. I'm left with trying on other Mavic shoes to work out the size I need and hope it's the same on the Frost range but would be great if someone already has a pair and can let me know if they're worth it and how the sizing comes up...
