Hi, when changing forks am I right in thinking the bearing race (that should be on the fork) needs to be swapped over? Also, I presume a new star nut will need to be put into the new fork?

If I can't get the bearing race off the old fork how do you get hold of replacements?

Thanks and apologies for my ignorance.

    you will get it off.

    you ask your LBS.

If you think you'll ever need to do it again, get one of the above. The LBS will prob charge at least a tenner, so the tool is worth it unless you know this is a one-off.

Either get the tool use a small soft drift and gently tap it off - remember to tap in a circular motion and it will ease the race off uniformly.
