New Bike Fairy

Can't quite justify a permanent N+1 at the moment as I'm struggling for space for the 3 I have (yes, I know it's only 3 but I don't have a dedicated garage yet and I need to buy a house in order to get the garage so hush), but...
The Langster is going to be swapped out for this Gary Fisher Triton (sans wheels, sadly, the seller wanted to keep them for a new build). Bit more weather friendly, steel is real and all that. Swap the F&B Tektro brakes for an Ultegra front, stick the handbuilt track wheels that I got 6months ago and keep it fixed.
Will be sad to see the Langster go
Maybe I just get a cover and it can live outside as a pub bike

But shirley you don't want wheels with btight purple hubs? I got a new MTB form the new bike fairy at a price so good I couldn't refuse. Problem is the EPO wants me to sell the old one to make space. I'm going to have to make a secret Ebay listing so nobody bids on it, then keep it as a hack.
This is the new one:
The old one is a rigid '97 Marin Nail Trail, I pinched the upgraded bits for the frankenbike I built for my son.0 -

eBay listing but with an overly optimistic opening bid? So if someone does buy it then you have the cash to buy something better, and if they don't then you can keep it?0 -
Sorry, I realised you weren't getting the wheels. I was trying to help you feel good about it.
Yes, I think that's the plan for Ebay. Starting bid of £100 should ensure I keep it.
If you want to make your Langster into a cheap hack I've got a set of fairly nasty 700c wheels. Bolt on, not quick release. But with a hub for a cassette, not single speed. You can have them if you come and pick them up.
Actually not fairly nasty, worse than that. I might put a note on the frankenbike thread offering them up to anyone.0 -
S'alright, I've got the old wheels, spare tyres and a spare fixed cog. handy eh? Looks like n+1 after all 8)0

Get the bike and hire a storage room thing in one of those warehouses and then fill it with more bikes....Do not write below this line. Office use only.0
