Long way off yet, but this years ride was by all accounts a cracker, so I'm entering next year.

  • It's aiming to be the west country's answer to L2B rather than L'Etape.

It's £23 and that doesn't include any food at the stops so it's not comparable to a sportive in that way either.

I'm not having a go - horses for courses. But don't enter thinking you're getting a sportive because you're not. It's a similar sort of course to L2B as well - fairly flat with a hill near the end.

  • Bristol to Weston via the Somerset Levels. The hill is Burrington Coombe I believe. It's not short but it's not steep either.
  • It's just an excuse to go for a nice ride in a good cause.....it's for charidy mate.

  • Thanks for the heads up, I'm not sure if I will be in the country then. But otherwise, yes!

I hope you don't mind if I don't stay in Weston (it's overrated) and continue home to Taunton. :D

That's expensive for a 56 mile ride with no food stops!

So what do you get for £23? Or does that just go to charity?

    You tight git

I paid £30 to ride around Donington race track - I didn't have to (should've only been £15) but it was for a worthwhile Charity and got me onto my favourite race circuit.

You pay to support a Charity and have a great bike ride.

So in answer to your question: A warm fuzzy glow 8)

Yeah but the £23 is not for charity is it? If it is then fair enough....
