... well not exactly, but allow me a little poetic licence...

There was a point coming home tonight on a relatively open stretch of road where the wind behind me exactly equalled my forward speed... as a result there was no wind noise at all and for a few fascinating seconds that seemed to go on for ever I was in a bubble of silence with a gentle pressure on my back pushing me along....

That could be one of the tailwinds but they dont exist so i'm guessing you had some kind of episode - it's your age nothing to worry about :P

    Oh come on..........

We all know that tail winds simply do not exist.

It was an explosion of your supreme awesomeness surely
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.
  • Well I was awesome tonight... i was steaming up hills a few km/h faster than normal... but i am sure I did encounter the mythical tailwind cos the flags on the Volvo garage were pointing up the road ahead of me :)

Well, I'm not saying it was a bit blowy last night but I was being overtaken by wind-borne debris (and I had over 20mph on the speedo)

I had a head wind all the way home last night :(
  • At the speed I cycle I only ever experience a headwind.
