Here is my first road bike. Standard bike apart from new wheels handlebars stem and pedals hope you all like!! feedback appriciated

For a first road bike that is very nice indeed, I like the badge on the front with the cable routing it's a nice touch.

cheers mate not bad im only 23 worked hard to get this bike and im really pleased with it after ideas what else i could do with it?

Thanks mate I never did to be honest but i seen this in the book and fell in love looks better with diffrent wheels i think

nothing as yet but the missus has an orbea ordu tt bike with full ultegra group set, she doesnt know yet but she's getting a dura ace di2 group set for christmas along withe a rear disc wheel, so all the ultegra will end up on my onix and possibly the wheels too.

she's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay faster than me on a bike, i think the di2 will let her stay on the aero bars more plus it'd be a waste on my bike, i only do 35/40 miles on a saturday to keep her company on her easy training day.

+1. Just upgrade when parts wear out/need replacing, it really doesn't need anything else done to it.

Lovely bike OP, welcome to the wonderful world of Orbea ownership. I have an 07 Onix and it's been a joy. As Carl says just get out and ride it, even after 4 years of ownership I'm still no better than the bike.





BigP, your wife has a great bike(I have an Ora TT bike) but she needs to lower them bars a bit lower to get that back flat.

Get a KMC 10 speed one, much easier to put on/ take off for cleaning.

looking at gwtting a chain catcher what you think? do i need one and what are the best looking ones out there? any other accessories you think i should get. i want black dura ace brakes will they make alot of difference to shimano 105?

I just love the look of Orbeas. There was an Onix in my LBS today getting a service and I couldn't stop looking at it!!!

Nice for a first road bike aswell!!

i know its just a couple allen bolts but is there a special way u have to do this? i havent got a clue . i have taken a closerup pic to show u the angle doesnt look much of a angle so i doubt it will drop it much. what u think?
