Thinking of getting one of superstars floating rotors (160) to replace my rusted giant MPH rotor, do any of you guys know if it will be a streight swap or will any adjustments have to be made to the caliper thanks :D

in 99% of the times one changes any rotor the caliper needs adjusting.

They shoudl amend that to "Cheap" floaters are not worth it

Good quality Hope ones are spot on. I can swap between my good wheels with Hope floaters (5 years no issues at all) and my second set of wheels, normal Hope disks (again 5 years old) with no adjustments to calipers needed at all. But both sets of rotors have bee trued and set up on a wheel building jig to run true and in same plane. I can swap the same wheels into my wifes bike (same Marin frame and Hope Mini mono's) with no adjustments apart from initial setup and her wheels fit onto mine

Brakes are Hope Mono Mini's (2005) with sintered pads. Also I am in the habit of giving the disks and pads a quick spray with disk cleaner before each ride, I've found that ensures they work well (even if they do squeel in the rain)

As for performance, not noticed any difference between float and non float, the floaters just look better (but then I'm not a heavy brake user)
