And I loved them
Didn't do the whole 15 miles, drove part way and did the last 7. Only went the right way twice of four journeys but arrived at work with a huge smile on my face. Anyone wondering if commuting is worth it, it definately is
Also, I've already started wanting a new and faster bike, but that's normal right?!

I'll echo that sentiment
started commuting 2 weeks ago 18 mile round trip great fun until last friday when the bearings seized in my headset 100 yards into the ride home that was a bit hairy in places lol
I think dreams of a new bike are pretty standard I keep waking up thinking about triple standard or compact it's terribly confusing lol0 -
Me too! Only a 4.5 mile trip each way but after 3 weeks I've already surprised myself and started going out of my way to make the route longer
Next I'll be looking for a new job further from home to get a few more miles inCannondale Synapse 105
Giant FCR3
GT Avalanche 3.0
Canyon Nerve AM 6.00 -
I started by doing 13 miles each way (car for the rest) three times a week on a mountain bike. I now do 40 miles five days a week on a road bike and it is just the normal thing to do. Loving it.0

I'm a fairly new commuter too, 24 miles/day for the last 2 months
Glad your enjoying it too
I've spent a small fortune so far on kit and equipment for the bike, but it's all money well spent....so far.
Dreaming of a good roadbike too, so yes it's normal (at least i think I'm normal)
Focus Cayo 105 on offer at wiggle......must resist the urge to splurge....but it's only a mouse click away....Ooooh....shall I...shan't I...shall I...shan't I...bloody bikes...HmmmmmShare The Road Event http://www.sharetheroadride.co.uk
