Helmet Cam Advice.

Riding to work last week I was hit by a car that failed to stop. Not badly injured, mostly shocked. As he sped off I failed to get his reg number due to the aforementioned shock. I wondered if anyone has advice on helmet cameras. There would be no point in buying one that did not freeze frame clear enough to read a car reg number.
Also, I'd like one that is nice and small as (on a lighter note) I would like to video the kids when we go skiing.
Budget around £100 ish.
Thanks.

If you can stretch your budget another £33, the well-respected ContourHD is £133 on Amazon. Downside is that helmet mount is extra, so you'll need to make a mount, Blue Peter-style, from Velcro & zip ties.
I had a cheap one (£15) from 7dayshop that lasted two months. It did get ok footage (one incident reported to police & driver warned) but wouldn't bother with another, unless for backup/rear-facing.Location: ciderspace0 -
This is an excellent camera; a little on the large size, but perfect for recording 'on bike' footage in either 1080P 30fps or 720p 60fps! See review for this camera here
I have one of these, but I want one of the above cameras for my forward facing camera. This 720P camera will then become my rear facing camera.
Hope this helps some?0
