I think I dropped a major clanger!

I've done about 1000miles on present chain, and finally decided to get mu butt in gear and get it changed.
All the components look ok and the chain meauring tool only just goes in at 1% ? side.

The question is do I need to change cassette as well ?

The bike has
raceface cranks xc
sram cassette
XT deraillleur.

Ive now got a sram powelink chain and hope this will be ok as it had a shimano one on before

Hard to say - put the new chain on and see how you get on. If it starts to slip on that or the chainrings, change them too.

Or put old chain back on and run into the ground.

    Cheers mate,

I'll give it a go tomorrow,

I didnt want to knacker my new chain on worn rings and then be faced with 3 chain rings / cassette and ANOTHER chain
