Just about to test Canyon Warranty

To be fair, warranty may be with avid as 1 of the front brake pistons is sticking. not quite sure why but noticed on last ride that the front brake was very weak and had to wind in the brake on the bars to get some stopping power.
Tried bleeding the calliper and lever today, but made no difference. If I hold in the piston on the other side though the stuck one does eventually come out.
Had the bike since August so shouldn't be a problem...
Any ideas what it could be ??

Usually like this because they get a bit gummed up.
Force the piston out a bit (but not all the way, you don't want it falling out!), and clean the area with water. Add a tiny amount of DOT 4 or 5.1 to the piston and seal, and push back in. Repeat, working the piston. It should free it up a bit.
Wipe clear of any oil before you refit the pad.0 -
Cheers mate - tried that but still the same
Bought a bleeding kit and tried that as well but still the same

Let us know how you get on, I'm looking to possibly go for a Canyon Ultimate CF road bike and given that its a distance buy over the net - It'd be good so see how good the support is.0

turns out very good - good communication all sorted in a week with sending the problem component to manufacturer.
very happy
