Hi

My girlfriend is most definately not a mountain biker and hense her 2 year old carrera mtb has done less than 20 miles!

She thinks she would like something a little more lady like so i've been looking at things like the Pashley Poppy and the Dawes Mayfair. Does anyone have any experience with these or something similar? I cant help but be drawn to the Pashley name but have been warned about the quality of there lower end bikes. Maybe a beach cruiser style? I'm open to options.... oh yeah, a pink frame would please her!!

That Pink Poppy is very girly! I would say that she would probably love either of those bikes and will take it out for a couple of short jaunts, maybe to the shops but due to it's weight, riding position, will lose interest in cycling with it quite quickly. I'd suggest a little bit of a sportier Mixte frame of some sort. Had a quick look on the interweb and have found the Charge hob 3.

Bit of a sportier positioning, 3 gears, good looks and comes in glittery green :)

I imagine this would be more comfortable, faster and usable for longer rides which may ignite a passion for cycling...
