Show me, show me, show me how you do that trick,
the one that makes me scream she said,
the one that makes me laugh she said,
and threw her arms around my neck.
Show me how you do it, and I promise you, I promise that I'll run away with you.......Science adjusts it’s beliefs based on what’s observed.

Nice links there
[oldgeezer] Hitchhiked half the length of Germany with a new GF - way to treat a lady - in 1985 to see The Cure play, in the rain, in Hamburg. The Associates were the support (Billy Mackenzie RIP wearing an appropriate mac). Have found a possibly dodgy video of that gig - do I risk downloading it? Or perhaps just enjoy the youtube-ery... excellent choices, great to revisit. The tightest 3 piece I've ever seen/heard.
I always had a soft spot for this: Grinding Halt

Thanks for jogging my memory. Particularly as I also found the Desperate Journalist version and harked back to the day recording John Peel from 2200 weekdaysPowered by Haribo.0 -
The Cure gave my daughter her middle name with this song, love it.0

I saw The Cure at Wembly Arena in about '87 on their Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me tour. Bought tickets the day before and managed to get some returned seats in the 3rd row at face value.
They were pretty much the staple of my teenage music. I still hum the drumline to Just Like Heaven. Happy Days.0
