Can i fit to my giant defy 2 (2010) i have eyelets front and rear currently running scwalbe blizzards (23c) but will probably end up with some marathon plus on there when the wet and slippy stuff comes (25c)

will chromoplastics fit or do i have to use raceguards?

SKS chromeplastics if you have the eyelets, the thin ones. Enjoy the fitting process.....

Giant also do a set of mudguards specifically for the defy/rapid/avail range of bikes.
The trick is these particular mudguards have strategically placed bridges on the body of the guards (two on the rear, on on the front).

These bridges allow for the close clearance at the brake bridges (for front and rear) and at the seat stay (for rear) to allow for secure fitting. You are much better off with these especially if you are dreaming of using 25c tyres.
