This winter - tights / 3/4s advice?

So....I chickened out of riding for the first time this morning. Couldn't blame it on a hangover, it was just too bloody cold...

I don't REALLY fancy the idea of tights (i've got long, thin chicken legs for starters) but I guess at some point I need to bite the bullet.

Can anyone recommend any up to about £35-40??

Or are 3/4s alright to ride in through the winter?

thanks

I'd go for knee warmers (despite the name most go to about halfway down you shin).

    I have these:

These would also be a good (and slightly cheaper) option (I have the arm warmers):

You would still probably want full length tights when it gets down near freezing and below but I find my regular shorts and knee warmers see me right for all but the very coldest of days.
  • Recently purchased Wiggle DHB Bib tights Pace at £49. They keep your legs warm and I put up with the sniggers.

Very good fit plus excellant pad, Even has a zip so you do not have to undress to go to the bathroom. Only issue is the ankle Zips which do flop around but if you leave them slightly open then they are fine. I commute about 11/2 hours per day and as Winter approaches I know they will do the job.
  • i got these a couple of weeks ago and they're really comfy

MTFU ! It was warm this morning :o ! lol.

knee warmers the best ...when its nippy I stick them on and have always got the option of taking them off if it warms up....got some 3/4 length Endura but if its warms up I over heat  !
