I getting closer to getting a new bike.
If will be in cyclescheme, so I have a budget of £1K to play with. Thanks to Halfords 3for2 deal on accessories, all the extras I needed (locks, bags, etc) have been bought for xmas, so that leaves the full budget for the bike.
I was originally looking at a regular 26in hardtail, but with the extra cash I've now extended my search to 29er's. I have no knowledge of them so far, so I'm looking for advice on what models to look at, and what to avoid.
Thanks in advance.

and if you can add cash to it, by adding £1-400 really opens some doors!0

Sadly adding cash isn't an option right now.
So far I've found the Specialised Carve, but the Cube Ltd Pro 29 is looking better and £50 cheaper too.
Still looking for other options though.0 -

Singular Swift**
Frame £340
Good Build £964
Better £1554
BLING £2436
It's a good frame, the designer does races on them himself with a small team of other riders.0 -
