I just brought an Avid Elixir3 and an Avid juicy 3 and when I've come to fit them to my bike, the Elixir hose is long enough but very tight when i turn right. As for the front Juicy, the hose isn't long enough to reach from my handlebars to the mount. Obviously i need to get new hoses, can I remove and replace the fittings for each brake or do all of them have to be new and replaced?

Cheers

most of the parts need to be replaced.

have a read of the manual about shortening hoses.

  • im not sure about the elixir's but the juicy's you will need an olive and barb for each end of the hose. you may just be able to salvage the barb but to be honest its a pain in the ass and you will prob damage it. plus the replacement screw in ones seem better imo. how much hose do you need? i ahve my original hoses im not using if you interested? plus new fitting for them.

the front one could do with an extra 4 inches, the rear with about another 8-10 inches.
