Hi,
i am a final year university student studying Product Design. for my final major project i have chosen to focus on the problem of bicycle theft, which as a keen cyclist myself has always been a painful issue. it would be much appreciated if you would take a minute to fill out a questionnaire that i have written up to help with my research.

thanks for the help!!

I thought UE meant that the questions didn't make sense if you've never had a bike stolen, but the survey literally doesn't work if you've never had a bike stolen and I'm not going to have my bike nicked for your survey!
FCN 3: Raleigh Record Ace fixie-to be resurrected sometime in the future
    FCN 4: Planet X Schmaffenschmack 2- workhorse
FCN 9: B Twin Vitamin - winter commuter/loan bike for trainees

    I'm hungry. I'm always hungry!
  • Not sure there's much to be said about locks - I hope you'll focus on how to increase the security of where bikes are kept. E.g. secure parking zones in London, with access controlled by Oyster or the same smart chip used for the Boris Bikes. If the number of thieves using portable angle grinders continues to increase, no lock is safe.

Sorry mate, tried but I can't fill it in honestly (and little point giving you bad data)

Yes, a friend had a bike nicked from his shed.
    No it wasn't locked
How many locks was it locked up with? Errm.....required field.

Please revisit your survey structure and ask again if you want help. A half arsed atempt is not worth the effort.

CAADX 105 beastie for bumpy bits
    Litespeed L3 for Strava bits

Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
  • thanks all for the help and feedback!
    much appreciated!

    cheers,

Never had a bike nicked but filled in the 2-3 questions that are relevant to me...
