Hi,

Been looking at these and the like and found Loveoutdoors site seem to be offering a really good deal on their bundles.

  • I bought one a couple of weeks ago after loosing / breaking my third cycle /cadence computer in a year (at 50 quid a throw it mounts up). The device does what it says on the tin, and I like that not really getting the most out of it yet but once I set my courses up and enter in my HR zones it will come into its own (the upload activities and reports are very good and intuitive). It is also weather proof as far as heavy rain goes ..I have been riding this last two weeks in Lancashire and we have had a fair bit of winds and heavy rain during the week so .. that another bonus. It is expensive ...I would say too expensive really but as its the best thing out (for what it does) I guess true value is really what the customer is willing to pay .. so go for it.
  • mmaatt25, your website isn't as cheap as here...

Depends on the bundle eg performance + OS mapping is cheaper (£43) at loveoutdoors but unit only is £15 cheaper at handtec.

I was curious only because on Garmins own site the performance + OS mapping is £450 and loveoutdoors is £400 I know it's all to do with profit margins, but £50?

Thanks, just bought the performance/OS map bundle for £400 from lovingoutdoors, never had used or heard of them before. Ordered 10am Wednesday arrived this morning (I paid the extra £2 for 1-2 day postage).

Seems like a good price, and the company do get a lot of good feedback >

Got the performance bundle from handtec £309 delivered.
I ordered at lunch on Monday arrived 13:14 on Tuesday the courier gave a 1 hour time slot too, well impressed.
It seems cheap(er) does not necessarily mean poor service (or vice versa)

Was that recently, can only get it down to £380 with their £20 off voucher. I like £360 more.

I got the 800 Performance and Navigation (full Europe) package for £359.99 plus just over £10 cashback through Quidco from Chainreactions. Cheapest I could find.
  • It was in July and they had a 20% off deal going so I got £90 off the rrp of £450. After buying and using one I'd say it's worth £380!

They are cheap, i bought my Garmin car satnav from them. However there customer service is shocking and they used to have terrible feedback on ebay.

I've been thinking about an 800 performance and navigation, and this is the site I've used to keep an eye on prices....

Depends if you want/need the OS maps?
