Picked up my new bike of ebay at the weekend for £150
16" frame, truvative hussefelt seatpost, bars, stem and crankset; Welgo pedals; Marzocchi Bomber Wedge Z1 130mm forks; Hayes HFX-9 Hydraulics brakes front and rear (8" front disc and 6" rear); Synchros big box rims with Tioga yellow kirin 26x2.3 rubber;
Deore XT rear mech with deore shifter; Sram x4 shifter and front mech.
Needs a bit of tlc - change the middle chainring - replace rear break hose - change front mech and shifter, I also want to change the cassette and chain.
Going to keep the same spec but change the front mech to a deore xt, both shifters will be new deore (maybe xt depending on funds at the time), the crankset will be changed to a deore crank.
Unsure which chain and cassette to buy, also the crankset isnt definatly going to be a deore set, i might find a 22,32t cranset with a bash guard instead of the big ring.

Hell of a buy for £150 I'd say, looks to be in good nick. With regards to the upgrades to the drivetrain, you say either deore or XT, when going SLX across the board would probably yield better results. The crankset is stiff as buggery and they do a dual & bash setup, the rest of the gear works as well as XT but is just a little more weighty, but by no means heavy.0

Just noticed the SLX shifters on CRC for £25!!! will defo have to consider those, front mech slightly cheaper as-well, its just the crankset im a bit unsure about, the deore crank is reasonably priced considering its boxed with the BB (£57 at CRC) but ideally id like a double ring with bashguard but still fairly light, I never really use the big ring.
My other option is to replace the 2 smaller chainrings on my current crankset and change the big ring for a lightweight bashguard.
Just looked at the slx crankset, very very tempting but way out of my price range
