Well after 4 weeks searching on a tight budget & taking advice from lots of helpful people on here I bought a Giant Defy 4 from LBS yesterday, went for the triple due to being so unfit & having lots of hills locally that I will get up!, did the first challenge yesterday without getting off so well happy with that milestone.

Absoloutly loving it, went out yesterday as soon as I got it home & did just short of 15 miles, up this morning & out at 7.30 for a quick 6 miles before taking son to football & back out for another 9 miles this afternoon.

Got to say I am loving it & can't believe how different it is to my old MB, I guess now is where the fun starts & I have to rein the wallet in-), only wish I had bought one a few months earlier so I could have enjoyed the good weather.

I only really got going this time last year - actually not a bad time to start, as you can be upping the fitness levels through the winter (grabbing rides when you can, but without the danger of 'too much, too soon', and commuting if you can), and then you'll be raring to go when the weather gets better and days get longer next year.

    Have fun!
