Bearing adjustment - aksium front wheel

I'm getting front brake rub when out of the saddle, I've checked the front wheel and there's definite movement in the bearings (not wheel flex - it's a small 'clonk' as I move the wheel side to side which isn't present in the rear wheel) - I'm not sure how to adjust it and the Mavic website isn't too clear. I don't even know if it's a cartridge bearing or cup and cone?

Any ideas please?

Are you sure you're doing the quick release up tight enough? You usually have to do them up tighter than you might think. That can often take out the play in the bearings.

Possibly not, I'm a bit cautious about overtightening!

They are cartridge, and the pre-load can be adjusted much like you do with cup and cone. Might be stiff to un-do first time due to threadlock.
