Zaug for first win in his career? Can't see race organisers looking forward to having him as winner...

30 years old. Not exactly a young up n' comer, but fair play if he does it.

Great win for Zaugg! Not a great final 30km parcours though

Deserved win looking at his jump on the last climb.

    Typical Lombardy race of attrition

He's won nothing since he turned pro in 2004 - despite several years in Saunier-Duval and Gerolsteiner

It's his lesser known sidekick 'Zig' I feel sorry for... where is he now?

I had one of them red bikes but I don't any more. Sad face.

I had to double take to see who won.

Big ride Nibs, big ride Zaugg, nice one my my man Martin. Mention to Betancour (expecting big things) and Niemiec.

Well, Johan van Sumeren (sp?) at this years P-R...?

Think that was Harmon's point at the end of the race too

Possibly and I take the point Harmon was making about surprise winners but I'd argue Zaug is a bigger surprise and P-R is possibly a race that lends itself more to an outsider winning?

    Vansummeren.

My verdict (partly ruined by Eurosport highlights): Dull.
