at the moment i have a carbon stem on one of my bikes and an alloy one on the other, im thinking of changing the carbon stem for an alloy one due to the carbon ones keep seizing in my alloy frame, will i notice any difference in comfort without the carbon stem

I've chopped and changed from alloy to carbon and i can't tell the difference, i have carbon frames and alloy and carbon bars on one bike, i've ended up with alloy stems on all three now.
  • What about both in one stem?

I've got one of these on the Cento Uno. Nice n light and very blingy

    :D
  • I've always used good quality alloy stem and bars, cheaper can be as light or lighter and stronger and less susceptible to failure.

? Do you mean seat post, not stem?

Your stem can't seize in the frame. Must be seatpost surely.
